Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by oak leaves bearing raised initials DSB, topped by a royal crown, around a central German national eagle perched on top of a bullseye target, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, bearing a raised inscription of DEUTSCHES SCHIESPORT ABZEICHEN (GERMAN SPORTS
