A 1959 Italian National Olympic Commitee "Olympic Day" Medal consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Footnote: Brigadier-General Vasilije VBronze gilt, obverse illustrating a winged angel blowing a horn, a bowl emitting a flame placed on a pedestal in the background to the right, engraver marked "MORBIDUCCI" below the angel, reverse illustrating the Olympic rings surmounted by a star and inscribed "GIORNATA OLIMPICA MCMLIX" below, surrounded by the inscription "COMITATO OLIMPICO NAZIONALE ITALIANO" with laurel leaves at its base, 32 mm, scattered gilt wear, near extremely fine.
