Germany, Luftwaffe. A Glider Pilot’s Badge, by C.E. Juncker Auction for bravery in the field(Segelflugzeugfhrer Abzeichen). Constructed of silvered zinc, the obverse consists of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a German national eagle in mid flight. The reverse has two visible rivets securing the eagle, along with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch emanating from a circular plate. Unmarked, it demonstrates the characteristics of a mid to late war example
