Germany, Luftwaffe. A Luftwaffe Front Flying Clasp For Transport Pilots, Gold Grade Auction A First War Mark II(Frontflugspange fr Transport und Luftlandflieger, in Gold). Instituted on 30. 1. 1941 by Reichsmarshall Hermann Gring. (Issued 1941 1945). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse with a central laurel wreath with a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swastika in the centre, with nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath, the reverse plain, with a horizontal banjo style tapered pinback, with a sheet metal hinge, and a flat wire catch, measuring 77. 03 mm
