Germany, Wehrmacht. A 1939 Clasp To The Iron Cross Ii Class, Prinzen Size, Ii Pattern Archive circlet in the centre bearing(Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz 1939 II. Klasse). Instituted 1 September 1939. (1939 1945 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, set on top of a trapezoid bearing a raised date of 1939 on a pebbled background, the reverse retaining both attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 24. 54 mm (w) x 24. 52 mm (h), weighing 4. 0 grams, in extremely fine condition.
