Constructed of blackened and silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a Silesian style German national eagle, clutching a silvered banner bearing a raised inscription of FR SCHLESIEN (FOR SILESIA) in its talons and overlaid across its chest by a silvered Brustmond, the reverse with four visible rivets securing the obverse fixtures in position, unmarked,
