Constructed of silvered bronze, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central wreathed date of 1939, the reverse with a barrel hinge and narrow banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 49. 75 mm (w) x 49. 36 mm (h), weighing 18. 6 grams, accompanied by its period original case of issue, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux black leather exterior,
